By performing the material in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, the group was able to bridge the language barrier and expose Brazilian music to a mainstream Chinese audience for the first time. With this pioneering debut at the biggest world expo in history, the band was received with both critical and popular acclaim from the Chinese media as well as the tens of thousands who attended these performances.
